UngodlyNVR StixsworldHD · v1.1.0

New Vegas Reloaded 4.4.0 · preset 1.1.0

The mod list

Every mod running alongside this preset, in install order, with its download page.

This is the list the screenshots were taken with. Read it top to bottom and install it top to bottom — the order below is already the MO2 left-pane order, lowest priority first, ending with the preset itself.

Nothing here is required by the preset except the four depth plugins marked NVR. Everything else is taste — but taste that the grade was tuned against, so swapping the weather or texture mods will shift how it looks.

39 mods

Core utilities and fixes

19 mods

Script extender plugins and engine fixes. Everything else assumes these are present, and four of them are what New Vegas Reloaded reads the depth buffer through.

Gameplay

3 mods

Nothing here touches rendering. Swap or drop any of it without affecting the preset.

    More Perks

    Kyung-Bum Lee (dree74)

Adds 120+ perks and traits. The DLC add-ons and More Traits are separate downloads on the same page — this list uses the base file, More Traits, and the Companions, Dead Money, Honest Hearts and Old World Blues add-ons.

  • 22

    The Living Desert

    ElPascal, Kazopert

Travellers, patrols and scripted consequences across the Mojave. It puts NPCs on the roads at night, which is where this preset earns its keep.

Visuals and interface

9 mods

NVR renders on top of whatever these leave behind, so this is the layer most likely to need a taste adjustment after install.

LOD and weather

7 mods

Distant detail. NVR draws shadows and parallax onto this geometry, so the further it reaches, the more the preset has to render.

  • 32

    FNVLODGen Resources

    ElminsterAU, Sheson, Zilav

LOD meshes and textures plus FNVLODGen.esp. This list runs the classic FNVLODGen workflow, where that plugin stays enabled; newer guides using xLODGen hide it instead.

  • 36

    Much Needed LOD

    pilamin

Distant models for vehicles, roads, barricades and most of the rocks. Regenerate LOD after installing it.

  • 38

    8kLOD

installed as a local MO2 mod

High-resolution LOD textures, sitting at the top of the LOD block so it wins those conflicts. This one is named after its MO2 folder rather than a mod page, so search Nexus for the exact package you used.

Graphics extender

1 mods

Highest priority in the left pane. Everything above it is what it renders.

UngodlyNVR — New Vegas Reloaded 4.4.0 + preset

TES Reloaded team; preset by StixsworldHD (StixsmasterHD4k)

The archive on this site. Contains NVR 4.4.0 unmodified plus the tuned configuration. Place it below every other graphics mod so nothing overwrites nvse/Plugins.

Also present

Unmanaged entries

Alongside those 39 mods, MO2 lists the nine DLC and FalloutNV_lang as unmanaged content. They sit at the top of the pane, cannot be reordered, and need no action — they are the game itself.

Two plugins with no mod folder

Landscape_Seam_Fix.esm and TreePositions.esp ship inside one of the terrain and LOD packages above rather than as separate downloads. If you need to know which, open MO2's Data tab and hover the file — it names the owning mod.

LOD generation

This list runs the classic FNVLODGen workflow, which is why FNVLODGen.esp, MuchNeededLOD.esp and tmzLODadditions.esp are enabled rather than hidden. If you follow the newer Viva New Vegas LOD guide with xLODGen instead, it will tell you to hide those three and generate afterwards. Either approach works; do not mix them.

Whichever you use, generated LOD must end up below your texture packs in priority. NMC's in particular will overwrite LOD atlases and leave the distance looking broken.
